So a couple friends came over a couple nights ago and brought a set of portable stocks.. They were quite proud of them but had bought them for what amounts to what I would consider a stupid amount of money <couple hundred>
Looking at them the quality of construction was what I would consider poor at best.
So I wonder if a design looks interesting are you willing to sacrifice quality and craftsmanship?
Are ya willing to spend a bit more for a product that has a higher level of quality?
Personally I like the concept on this set and plan on building a set for my toy bag from oak with smithed hinges and pins. But with materials and time if I were to sell them I likely would be up at the 300.00 point.

Re: poor quality toys
Thu, June 28, 2007 - 7:30 AMI much prefer quality and craftmanship - it can mean a tremendous difference in comfort and function - ummm, you know, if you can use "comfort" in the same sentence with portable stocks, toy bags, and bdsm, mwuahahaha! While I am on the receiving end, I can only imagine that using something of poor quality can't be much better than having it used *on* you - I know my SO/Master is partial to good quality toys, which I appreciate to no end ;-)
... and $300 does not seem unreasonable for something (like the portable stocks) that is well crafted and of good quality ...
